Cycling enthusiasts can choose different routes through our countryside and the nearby villages of Bolgheri, Bibbona, Casale Maritimo, Guardistallo and Montescadaio.
The sea and the pinewoods of Marina di Bibbona are just 4 km away and you can reach Marina di Cecina through a specified route of about 5 kilometers in the shade of a pine forest.
At 3 km from our company, just past the center of Bibbona, is the “Macchia Magona”, a beautiful mediterranean nature reserve of 1,600 hectares with 16 different trails.
At about 5 kilometers away is the famous “Viale dei Cipressi” (5 km long), described in the poetry of Carducci. A great tour that lets you encounter one of the most medieval Italian villages, namely Bolgheri, according to the New York Times one of the 50 destinations in the world that you must visit at least once in your life time.
Parallel to Via Aurelia is one of the most famous “wine routes”, a gastronomic and cultural attraction that runs along some of the most important and famous wine producers.
We mention, for example, the most famous companies namely: Ornellaia and Sassicaia. They offer the opportunity to taste, accompanied by small bites from local products their wines.
An authentic full culinary immersion, in which all palates are addressed by the simple, authentic flavors of a region rich in traditions!
For nature lovers, we should remember to mention the most important parks, as the WWF oasis of Bolgheri (first WWF in Italy) and the coastal parks Rimigliano and Sterpaia.
Only 30 minutes by car, are the parks of Val di Cornia, including the Archaeological Park of Baratti, Populonia (the only Etruscan city on the sea), you can visit the Acropolis and the Necropolis, the archaeological museum Populonia and the Archaeological Park of San Silvestro (very pleasant for children, who can explore the old mines on board a special train).
Our area is smiling specifically to our children with special parks.
The theme park “Cavallino Matto” (with games and activities for all ages), the adventure park “The Hanging Garden” (surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea, with rich paths between the trees).
Not to forget the Bio-park “Gallorose” (where native and exotic flora and fauna is shown), the zoo of Pistoia, the Prehistoric Park, the Peccioli Park “Collodi” (Pinocchio), the water park, the Aquarium of Livorno and many others.
In the immediate backcountry there are many Etruscan, Roman and medieval villages, including Casale Maritimo, Suvereto, Volterra and Massa Marittima (with the famous Etruscan museum “Guarnacci”, where the statue “The shadow of the night” is housed) all these places are awarded with the “orange flag”, by the Italian Touring Club, a quality mark for an eco-tourism environment, aimed at small inland villages which are distinguished by excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere
Among the villages to visit we do not want to forget: Montescudaio, Guardistallo, Castagneto Carducci, Campiglia Marittima and Sassetta.
Last, but not least, the cities that can be reached in a short time.
